Process & Terms for Activating Your Smart Number

To activate your smart number, please follow these simple steps:

1. Get a New MTN or Vodacom Starter Pack

   • Purchase a new, sealed starter pack from MTN or Vodacom.

   • The SIM card must be RICA’d (registered in your name at the point of sale).

2. Keep the Pack Sealed

   • Do not open or insert the SIM card into any device.

   • The SIM must remain unopened and unused for activation to proceed.

3. Send a Clear Photo

   • Take a clear photo of the SIM number (ICCID) printed on the back of the sealed pack.

   • Send the photo to us — and we’ll handle the rest.

Important Terms & Conditions

• SIM Swap Option:
  If your smart number was previously active but the SIM card was lost, you may be able to recover it through a SIM swap with the same network provider (MTN or Vodacom).

• Deactivated Numbers:
  If the number has been deactivated due to inactivity, it cannot be recovered. Once a number is recycled by the network, it becomes permanently unavailable.

• Keep Your Number Active:
  To retain ownership, the number must remain active through:

  • A mobile contract, or

  • A prepaid SIM that is regularly recharged or used.
